It’s A GREAT Way To Meet Other BRC Members…
The BRC’s Committees support the organization’s strategic goals by working on key projects and related issues. All Committees are comprised of interested volunteer leaders wanting to make a difference in their industry. The Chair/Co-Chair of each Committee also serves on the Board of Directors and reports to the Executive Committee. Committees typically meet once a month, or less frequently, depending on the projects at hand.
Communications Committee actively promotes BRC by reaching out to allied organizations and the media. They oversee all BRC communications and ensure that the organization’s marketing messages are relevant and consistent with the associations’ messaging platform. This Committee’s tactics include ongoing research and surveys, media relations, article placements, advertising, cause-related marketing and trade show support.
Connect Committee oversees BRC’s social and networking events and programs. This committee is responsible for planning the organizations’ New Home Tours, Builder Breakfast, Summer Luncheon, Holiday Party and other networking events.
Education Committee is responsible for planning six to eight educational opportunities per year for BRC members and others involved in the sale of new homes. This committee is responsible for providing current and relevant topics as well as securing presenters for the educations programs.
Resolution Committee mediates all grievances that are lodged against another BRC member and will assist those members in finding a mutually agreeable solution. The Committee is also responsible for providing monthly updates to the Board of Directors on legal issues in the industry and how the BRC can help in addressing legal issues facing the local market. The Committee includes two REALTORS and two Builder Representatives.
Membership Committee markets the value of membership to prospective and current members, oversees membership retention efforts, and encourages eligible individuals and companies to join BRC. Membership Committee members maintain contact with eligible and prospective new members through correspondence and email. The Committee delivers suggestions, observations and recommendations about membership activities to the Board of Directors.
Political Action Committee is responsible for maintaining successful relationships with the Colorado Association of REALTORS and the Colorado Association of Home Builders. In addition, the Political Action Committee is to keep the Board informed about legislature items to be voted on – especially those pertaining to the home building industry.
